Right-To-Know Law
Act 3 of 2008 is Pennsylvania's new Right-To-Know Law. On December 15, 2008, the Washington Township Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 2008-9, which establishes the procedure by which Washington Township will address requests made to it for records under the Right-To-Know Law which took effect January 1, 2009. The purpose of Washington Township's Open Records Policy and Act 3 is to provide access to public records of Washington Township, to preserve the integrity of the records of Washington Township, and to minimize the financial impact to the citizens requesting public records. Open Records Policy
The Washington Township's Open Records Policy ensures compliance with Act 3, provides access to public records and preserves the integrity of Township records.
Requests for Records
Requests may be submitted in person, by mail, by e-mail, or by fax. All requests must be in writing on the Township's Record Request Form. Arrangements can be made for documents to be viewed at no charge by making an appointment with the Township secretary. Printable Record Request Form
